Sights and Sounds of Elkhorn Ranch
California Department of Fish and Wildlife were invited to conduct a survey to learn more about the wildlife that pervades the fields, orchards, and grasslands of Elkhorn Ranch co-owned by Yolo Land Trust and Sacramento Valley Conservancy. They monitored over 300 sites throughout the Central Valley and the Mojave Desert in 2016 to learn more about which habitats are currently utilized by wildlife and if habitat conditions affect animal movement, range, and population.
