Craig Leathers

Campbell's Soup Company

As a fifth generation ‘Yolo-an’, the County’s open space has always been a part of Craig’s life. Whether riding with his grandfather as a child to help move the sheep, looking at its vastness from Edgar Peak, or in his 35 plus year career buying tomatoes for the Campbell’s Company (AKA -Campbell’s Soup), these experiences helped established his belief that the County’s open space is worth protecting for the generations to come. After supporting YLT for many years as a donor, it’s a natural progression that he now sits on the organizations board. Having a strong knowledge of Yolo County’s agricultural history, Craig looks forward to learning more about YLT’s programs and its ability to help protect our agricultural heritage.

Craig brings experience to the board from serving on other boards and committees dedicated to protecting agriculture. He currently sits on the Solano Sustainable Ag Lands committee, as well as leading the Solano County Ag Advisory for several years and participating in Woodland High School Ag Advisory Committee for over a decade.  He was also recently recognized by Campbell’s for his long-term dedication to integrated pest management and sustainability.
