Vann Family Orchards and Yolo Hulling and Shelling Company

Christian Vellanoweth works as the Grower Relations Manager for Vann Family Orchards and Yolo Hulling and Shelling Company in Williams and Dunnigan, CA. Much of his career to date has been spent working with almond growers throughout the greater Sacramento Valley area and working on his family’s cider, wine & brewery operation in Yolo County. His family’s cidery, Nitty’s Cider, has poured their delicious cider at YLT’s annual fundraiser, A Day in the Country, since 2019. With 16 years of experience in grower relations and as a farmer in Yolo County, Christian is deeply invested in the preservation of agriculture both locally and statewide. He holds a bachelors degree in Communications and Agricultural Economics from UC Davis and is both a graduate of the California Almond Leadership Class 2009 and California Ag Leadership Class of 46.
