YLT Volunteer Recognized with Local Award

We are excited to announce the honoring of YLT Board of Director, Lynnel Pollock, with a Yolo Philanthropy Award!

Woodland, CA – The Yolo Philanthropy Awards are presented each year by the Yolo Community Foundation (YCF) as a way to recognize volunteers and donors who make a significant impact in our community.

For over a decade, Lynnel Pollock has been a cornerstone of the Yolo Land Trust, a nonprofit dedicated to conserving farmland in Yolo County. As a founding Board Member and local farmer, Lynnel has embodied the spirit and vision that has guided our organization. As she approaches the end of her final term on the board in 2024, we reflect on her extraordinary contributions. Lynnel played a pivotal role in laying the foundation for our organization, steering our policies, and organizing our annual fundraiser. She has served on many committee with our board, including the Executive Committee, the Farm Committee where she oversees the farming operations managed by YLT, and was co-chair of our the inaugural Event Committee.

Her unwavering commitment and tireless efforts were instrumental in establishing a strong presence in the local community and building a thriving conservation organization. Beyond her professional expertise, Lynnel has inspired countless others to understand the importance of protecting local farms and ranches. Her hands-on approach—whether organizing early fundraising events or advising on conservation projects—has set a high standard for leadership and volunteerism. Even after all these years, Lynnel continues to volunteer with remarkable enthusiasm and dedication. Her years of service stand as a testament to her profound impact on farmland conservation in Yolo County and her enduring legacy within our organization.

In December 2024 Lynnel will complete the last term of her service to the Board of Director. We are forever grateful for her contributions to YLT and wish her all the best in her next adventures. Thank you, Lynnel!
